Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure.

Tired and Stressed?
Qi Gong is based on the traditional Chinese concept that that all disease comes from an imbalance of qi (chi, prana or vital energy), which is said to flow through the body along invisible pathways that are known as meridians. We are in good health when qi flows freely but symptoms such as headaches, anxiety, high blood pressure, and fatigue are signs that the energy glow has become blocked. Qi gong is one of a number of means of restoring and enhancing the balanced flow of qi through the body’s meridians. Other techniques include acupuncture and Reiki.

Pilates School of WA has developed a unique combination of body conditioning and Qi gong that regenerates crystalised hips and knees and backs and calms the mind through a cool down journey of moving meditation. This class is offered twice a week on a Tuesday evening at 5.30pm and Friday morning at 9.15am

This is what some of our clients have said:

My bad knee has a little more movement than it normally would, and it doesn’t hurt? My hips are getting more flexible. I’ve found this class to be an internal and external workout. Balancing the body and especially the soul - Sue Scibilia

I feel a sense of calmness and yet very motivated after doing the class. Your body feels light and you can feel a great workout in your lower body - Sharon Bell

Despite the challenges presented to my "aging" body, by working through the exercises I feel invigorated. The slow rhythmic activities towards the end of the class promote in me a feeling of relaxation and of well-being. I also enjoy the aerobic quality of some of the more vigorous activities. A weakness in my right thigh has dissipated considerably - Gayna Donovan
